I help senior executives at fast paced tech companies understand human behaviour, the power of their brain and how to regulate emotions, so that they can make better, quicker and more profitable decisions, even in the most pressured environments.

The ability to make great, strategic decisions is a core requirement of exceptional executive leaders.

However, when under pressure, it can be all too easy to make decisions that are not in the long-term best interests of the company.

Some researchers have found that emotions account for up to 90% of decision-making, and when faced with tough decisions, we often experience complex emotions (even if we look “cool” on the outside). The problem is that many executives remain unaware of the true impact that their mind and emotions have on their decision-making. And it’s often those that consider themselves to be “unemotional” that have a lot going on under the surface, unconsciously driving their decisions.

This lack of awareness affects not only the rationality of the decisions that they make but how they communicate them to the best effect.

Sub-optimal executive decisions have wide ranging consequences for the company – from employee disengagement to loss of revenue and/or profit to slowing down long-term growth potential.
