I help senior leaders in Sport become exceptional communicators in high-stakes settings so they can lead with clarity, authority and impact. In cultivating this skillset, leaders build trust with their teams, build credibility externally, and create the conditions for sustainable high performance.

Leaders who have risen through the ranks in Sport often haven’t had sufficiently robust or specialist training in the fundamentals of impactful communication. This leaves them struggling to have the desired impact in keynotes, to thrive under board scrutiny, or to nail live opportunities in the way your organisation needs. It can also mean their day-to-day team interactions aren’t carrying the precision, presence, or impact required to build trust, set direction, and motivate their teams to step up.

I help leaders unlock a core skillset that brings their expertise to life. Using psychology-backed techniques and strategies for robust communication, I enable them to harness what they already bring in spades – their knowledge, insight and strategic thinking – and communicate it with clarity, humanity and impact, whether in everyday team dialogue or the highest-stakes, most public settings. This allows them to lead with greater authority and inspire committed action, no matter their audience.

With 10 years of experience coaching actors and broadcasters, plus training in psychotherapy and interpersonal dynamics, I’m a specialist in supporting your senior leaders to:

  • go from being good communicators to truly great, reliably able to deliver with impact in high-stakes moments
  • shift those teams who are high-functioning but held back by ‘nice but vague’ communication that lacks clarity and direction
  • raise expectations and hold clear, unapologetic boundaries without damaging the working relationship, both internally and externally
  • ensure their key message never gets lost, in meetings, key external opportunities, or other high pressure settings (live media opportunities, impromptu Q and As…)
  • get ‘stuck’ dynamics unstuck, whether with boards, other stakeholders, or their teams, and shift sub-cultures that are causing slow movement, that are avoidant of tension, or quietly underperforming
