Dee Patel, DPA Leadership Ltd
Specialism: Executive Coaching
I help organisations develop Director to C-Suite leaders in high-pressure roles to achieve Sustainable High Performance and build resilient leaders who deliver commercial results.
About
When accomplished senior leaders aren’t performing to their fullest potential it impacts the business through slower decision making and stalled projects, communication styles that cause frustration and conflict, and instead of cross functional collaboration you see siloed working. This affects retention, productivity and growth.
Senior leaders are operating in uncertain times, facing a relentless pace, intense pressure and trying to balance short-term demands with long-term goals. Strategic thinking suffers when trying to do more with less and figuring it out in isolation at the top.
What if senior leaders performed at the highest level with self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and the executive presence the role demands, while feeling confident and energised?
What if they could lead in a way that’s genuinely sustainable for them, the team and the organisation?
My approach:
Most leadership development approaches focus on high performance only through external frameworks and tactics, without addressing the internal state that leads to overwhelm and eventual burnout at the senior level if left unaddressed.
That’s where I come in.
I approach it from the inside out, first helping leaders understand who they are, shift how they think, and show up with an energy that inspires everyone around them.
Because whilst high performance is measured by results, it’s sustained by how leaders feel.
What I see senior leaders struggle with most:
1) Leading through organisational uncertainty or change.
Where the ability to stay clear, decisive and calm under pressure is tested.
2) Taking on bigger roles and responsibilities or leading complex teams.
It’s high stakes and what’s worked before won’t cut it anymore.
3) Showing the early signs of burnout.
Pushing too hard for too long is starting to have a cost.
I work with leaders to create internal changes AND take practical action for the best results.
How companies benefit:
For organisations, this means resilient leaders who perform under pressure without burning out, engaged teams leading to stronger retention because they’re being led well, and commercial results that come from productive cultures.
A coach with real world experience:
I work with leaders across Tech, Finance, Telecoms, FMCG, and more, helping them navigate the transitions and challenges that follow years of significant success.
Fully trained and triple accredited, I’m certified as a Senior Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).
My approach is backed by 15+ years in operational, commercial and strategic roles, across traditional FTSE 100 corporates (Sainsbury’s), entrepreneurial founder-led startups (with the founder of Pret and Itsu), and hyper-growth global tech organisations (HelloFresh). I’m also a board trustee.
An astrophysicist by background, I’ve held corporate roles in technical, R&D, innovation and senior product leadership. The skills I built delivering €500 million global projects in a fast-paced, complex environment are the same ones I use to help senior leaders now, because the capabilities required to thrive in that environment go far beyond technical competency.
What a fintech CEO had to say:
“Dee has helped me make countless critical decisions. These decisions have significantly impacted me and my FinTech business. In my experience, investing in coaching is a no-brainer and the return on investment is immediate. Coaching helps me make better business decisions and fewer mistakes while not reinventing wheels and reduces my stress levels. The opportunity cost lost for starting coaching late is unquantifiable and one of my biggest regrets as a leader.”
